Happy first Birthday in heaven, Mom. This is a couple days late, but not because I didn't think about you on the actual day...I thought about you so much! As I sat with my family, watching your first granddaughter up on the stage, I thought of the story you told of when you were a shy teenager in your high school play but stole the show with your Spanish accent.
It was strange not seeing you on your special day. But know your joy is beyond comprehension right now.
I wish I could hug you in person but I'll just have to write my heart to you and wait until you greet me in heaven to give you a real hug again. Love you, Mom.
